Charlie Kingham’s bespoke kitchen graces the pages of the Architectural Digest Espana!
It is an absolute honour to be featured in any magazine, but especially one from overseas. Finding out we were featured in Architectural Digest Spain was a delight. It is a magazine dedicated to design, home, art, travel, architecture and décor. Full of bright interiors and chic designers, the articles are varied from around the world covering everything from circular houses in Arizona to Hygge, the secret of Danish happiness.
Our client, interior designer Peter Mikic has a very stylish and eclectic vision and we worked to his brief to create a kitchen that breaks the typical conventions of a traditional shaker kitchen to produce a space that will wow guests with its unusual mix of marble, colour and cabinetry creating a statement in itself.
This project has been one of the standout kitchens of 2017 for us. With pitch black cabinets and a matching arabescato marble worktop and splashback creating a dramatic contrast, it was a kitchen like no other. It was a pleasure to use our bespoke kitchen cabinet making techniques to put together a space that will not only stand the test of time but be a focal point for their iconic home. Of course the kitchen was not complete without being kitted out in Sub-Zero and Wolf range cookers, wine fridges and American style fridge freezer. The sink and taps were Perrin and Rowe, being the perfect traditional match to any shaker style kitchen.
The simple styling of the shot allows the kitchen to speak for itself but also portrays the clients own style by incorporating Warren Bacon stools from the 70s and the bright David Weekes Studio lighting over the island. An amazing combination!
